Brown butter intensifies the nutty flavor of this breakfast treat.
1 Tbsp. unsalted butter
1 slice whole-wheat bread, toasted
1 Tbsp. pecans, lightly toasted and chopped
1 tsp. honey
1 pinch each ground cinnamon and salt
- Add the butter to a small saute pan, and heat over medium, until melted. Cook until the butter turns very light brown in color, about another 2 minutes.
- Drizzle brown butter over the slice of bread. Sprinkle toast with the nuts, honey, salt, and cinnamon. Serve.
